One of our best stays during Alta via 1. The food was amazing, the bed is also comfortable. The view of this rifugio is like a drawing, so beautiful. Thanks for the staff!

Lavarella is lovely. Wonderful food, excellent service, beautiful setting near a rushing creek. Cowbells. Homemade yogurt, beer and honey. We were not crazy about our room, #16, bc it had no exterior window, just a small window to the hallway, and a very low ceiling with a rafter that we kept bumping our heads on. It was a bit stuffy and we had to go down a floor for the restroom. We'd made reservations months in advance, so it was surprising that we were put there. We still had a fine dinner and breakfast and met lots of interesting people.

One of my favorite Rufigios! Amazing food and friendly staff. The scenery is like something from a post card. Very beautiful!

Go there for the hiking, stay there for the craft beer. We tasted 3 of the 4 craft beers brewed on site. Each was delicious.

Lavarella was my favorite Rifugio on AV1! Beautiful establishment and picturesque location with the sound of running river water and cowbells outside. We slept in a private room with bunk bed. Had our own sink and access to many clean bathrooms and showers down the hall. Excellent food - dinner of ravioli and spinach meatballs (mama’s recipe) was amazing. Beautiful breakfast service included too.

That's what I call an impressive location with super friendly and an international service team. Excellent food, highlights are the espresso and the apple strudel!
